Misting

Whatever your views are on the changes in weather and the cause, it is undeniable that in recent years the UK has experienced some extremely high summer temperature peaks. We always exceed the CIBSIE guidelines when designing our systems but designing for the worst case eventuality could make a system prohibitively expensive and it’s full capacity used very rarely.  

 

A cost effective option is to incorporate water misting into the solution. In a cooling application in very high temperature external conditions the challenge is getting rid of the heat from the chiller. By incorporating a water mist in the coil cooling airflow dramatically increases the efficacy of the heat extraction at very little cost.
